How do I reach you outside of office hours?
LCP&P is closed Friday through Sunday. Messages left during that time will be returned the next business day. You can also reach out to us at our Facebook page:
https://www.facebook.com/laurelcountyphysiatryandpain
Please be aware that Facebook messages may also not be answered until the next business day.
What do I do if my pharmacy doesn't have my medication in stock?
In this situation, patients have several options:
1. Wait until the medication is back in stock.
2. Ask your pharmacist if they have the medication in a different strength, then contact the office to see if your prescription can be temporarily modified.
3. Contact other pharmacies in your area to see if they have your specific medication available. If you need to change your designated pharmacy before your visit, you MUST be sure to ask the new pharmacy if they will accept you as a patient. Some pharmacies are currently not accepting new patients.
Designated pharmacies will be changed ONCE before your next visit. Ongoing issues with medication may require an earlier office visit to discuss other treatment options. Medications may NOT be changed over the weekend.
What about calling during office hours?
When calling LCP&P, please listen to the phone tree choices and choose the appropriate line. Answering of live calls is currently not available so we may better serve in-office patients. Messages are being checked and answered multiple times through the day.
Leaving multiple messages on the system regarding the same issue may prolong our response time.
Patients exhibiting any signs of cough, congestion, or fever will still be required to wear a mask while in the office. If you have recently been exposed to anyone who is ill, we request you wear a mask as a precaution. Please contact the office with any questions if you are sick or have been exposed.
Please contact the office if you have any questions about your upcoming visit or if you are currently sick/quarantined.
LCP&P will be CLOSED Thursday, October 24, 2024 and Thursday, November28, 2024.
Messages can always be left with our answering service, but may not be returned until the next business day.

Patient Testimonials
"My initial session was a complete success! I felt very fluid and much less tense than I have felt in quite some time. I was shocked the doctor immediately located the pain and how it was eliminated. I'm glad to be under the care of LCP&P. I'm looking forward to continuing my acupuncture treatment! - J.G.
"I have been in pain management for 10 years. I have seen several pain doctors and several back doctors. I have also had several injections in my back. A few months ago I started seeing Dr. Richardson. I could tell by the way she listened to me that she was determined to find a way to treat me. Within the last 4 months, my pain levels that were previously 9/10 have decreased to 2-3/10. This has significantly changed my quality of life for the better. I am truly thankful to Dr. Richardson and her staff and would recommend her to anyone looking for relief" - G.D.
"The treatment Dr. Richardson has done for me has been great. She will not give up until she diagnoses the problem." - D.M.
